As mentioned in another review the stands don't detract from the model and allow multiple display angles. The stand itself looks great with the X shape.
I really like the minimalist style of the X-Wing stands, just enough detail with the logo and name etching, the model can be oriented in two directions as standard but you could definitely add some clear pieces to the top of the stand to adjust the angle as there are plenty of studs.
